This role is ideal for a seasoned machinist who takes pride in precision work, understands tight tolerances, and can confidently handle complex jobs with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, efficient, and capable of working across a variety of CNC equipment and machining operations. We are looking for someone who brings real-world experience, strong machining instincts, and the ability to help elevate the overall capability of the shop. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and optimize CNC machines to produce high-precision parts Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, drawings, and job specifications Edit and adjust CNC programs at the machine as needed Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and workholding for each job Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts meet quality and tolerance requirements Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, programs, materials, and machine performance Maintain machine efficiency and minimize downtime Perform routine machine maintenance and basic preventative upkeep Maintain accurate setup, tooling, and process documentation Keep a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area Collaborate with programmers, management, and team members to improve processes and production flow Experience & Qualifications 3+ years of CNC machining experience in a production or job shop environment Strong setup and operation experience with CNC mills and/or lathes Extensive knowledge of machining fundamentals, tooling selection, feeds & speeds, and workholding Proven ability to hold tight tolerances and produce high-quality precision parts Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Comfortable editing programs at the machine and making process adjustments independently Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings Experience with Haas, Mazak, or similar CNC equipment preferred CNC programming experience is a plus, but not required Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail are essential
