Position Overview M State is accepting applications for a College and Career Navigator. This position will be based at Moorhead Public Schools and will involve routine travel to the M State Moorhead campus to support collaboration and student engagement. This position provides serves as the primary school embedded liaison between Minnesota State Community & Technical College (M State) and Moorhead Area Public Schools (MAPS). This position supports the successful implementation, coordination and growth of the Pathways Forward partnership by providing a centralized, student-centered point of access for M State enrollment, academic advising, dual credit pathway support and financial aid navigation. This position enhances student access, clarity and navigation from high school through postsecondary education and career readiness. This position works to enhance the student and family experience through coordinated advising, proactive outreach and clear communication. This position plays a key role in shifting the student experience to an intentional, supported and guided pathway approach, aligned with postsecondary credentials, career goals and regional workforce needs. On a daily basis, live the mission, vision and values of M State to ensure a positive experience for all students and stakeholders. Service to M State students and stakeholders is a core component of the position and work responsibilities. Student Engagement, Advising, and Transition Support. Provide direct advising and pathway guidance to MAPS students exploring dual credit and postsecondary options, beginning as early as 9th grade, and deliver ongoing academic advising and support to enrolled PSEO students. Provide ongoing advising to PSEO students, including course selection, academic planning, policy guidance and progress toward certificate or degree pathways. Serve as a centralized "one‑stop" access point for MAPS students and families for M State enrollment, advising, financial aid navigation and dual credit pathways. Assist students with college application, registration and enrollment processes Provide financial aid literacy education and FAFSA completion support, and coordinate referrals and warm handoffs to M State Financial Aid staff for compliance-driven processes. Support students in understanding program options, credit transfer and applicability and next steps toward degree and career goals. Coordinate and participate in student engagement activities, including classroom presentations, advising sessions, career exploration events and camps and M State campus experiences. Facilitate smooth transitions from high school participation to full M State enrollment through proactive advising and follow‑up. Partnership Coordination, Communication and Pathway Development. Serve as the primary day‑to‑day point of contact between MAPS and M State for pathway‑related initiatives. Coordinate clear, consistent, and accurate communication for students, families, faculty, counselors and administrators. Support joint planning, meetings and cross‑institutional partnership initiatives. Maintain collaborative working relationships with school administrators, counselors, instructors and M State faculty and staff. Coordinate logistics for an on‑site M State presence, including scheduling student meetings, advising sessions and engagement events. Track student participation, engagement, credit accumulation and matriculation related to pathways and dual credit programming. Identify and help address barriers to student participation and persistence. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts through data analysis, feedback and collaborative problem solving. Monitor and report partnership metrics such as participation rates, pathway completion and postsecondary enrollment outcomes. Collaborate with MAPS and M State faculty and staff to support alignment of high school coursework with college programs and career pathways. Assist in the development and implementation of articulated and dual enrollment pathways. Help identify and build opportunities to expand and strengthen pathway offerings in alignment with student interest and workforce needs. Support for Campus and College Operations. Recognition of broad and varied professional responsibilities which include but are not limited to support for campus and college operations such as registration events, Spartan Welcome Days, Commencement, summer and day camps, special events, campus tours and collegewide dual enrollment initiatives. This is not an exhaustive list. Provide support for college and campus student services operations beyond primary pathway and partnership responsibilities, as appropriate and aligned with institutional needs. Serve on campus, college and community committees as assigned, approved and appropriate

Expansion and alignment of careers pathways that support student goals and regional workforce needs. Use of data to monitor outcomes, address barriers and improve program effectiveness. Positive student, family and partner experience with access, clarity and support. What We're Looking For Minimum Qualifications Minimum of one year of professional experience in student recruitment, enrollment management, higher education administration, academic advising, or sales involving relationship-building, strategic outreach, and goal achievement. A bachelor's degree may substitute for one year of experience; an associate's degree may substitute for six months of experience. Ability to effectively advise and support diverse student populations Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills Ability to communicate complex information clearly to students, families and staff Ability to build collaborative relationships across institutions and stakeholder groups Ability to work independently while managing multiple, complex priorities Demonstrated commitment to student‑centered practices and equity Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in a related field Experience working with high school and/or college students in advising, admissions, or student support services Experience working in higher education and/or secondary education systems Knowledge of PSEO and dual credit program policies, procedures and eligibility requirements Experience with advising, enrollment services, or related student support functions Experience providing financial aid literacy or FAFSA completion support Experience working with students in educational or career‑planning settings Work Shift (Hours / Days of work) 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.
