Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Body Shop Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong automotive knowledge and excellent customer service skills. As a Body Shop Estimator, you will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the repair process. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen to effectively communicate with customers and manage their expectations. Duties Evaluate damaged vehicles to determine the extent of repairs needed. Prepare accurate and detailed repair estimates using industry-standard software. Communicate with customers regarding their vehicle's condition, repair options, and costs. Align estimates with the necessary parts and labor required for repairs. Transmit estimates to insurance companies as needed for approval. Collaborate with mechanics to ensure all repairs are completed to high standards, including oil changes, brake repairs, and other automotive diagnostics. Maintain organized records of estimates, invoices, and customer interactions. Provide exceptional customer service to enhance client satisfaction and foster repeat business. Qualifications Previous experience in automotive sales or as a mechanic is preferred. Strong understanding of automotive repair processes including suspension systems, brake repair, and general diagnostics. Excellent cash handling skills for processing payments accurately. Ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers in an understandable manner. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple estimates simultaneously. Proficient in using estimating software and tools related to body shop operations. A valid driver's license is required.
