Job Description Job Description Job Description We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead day-to-day field operations and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with hands-on construction knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to coordinate crews, subcontractors, vendors, and inspections throughout all phases of a project.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee all on-site construction activities from mobilization through project closeout. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and field personnel to maintain schedule and workflow. Enforce safety policies, conduct site inspections, and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. Maintain site safety by enforcing OSHA and company policies, conducting toolbox talks, and correcting hazards immediately. Review drawings, specifications, and schedules to identify and resolve conflicts proactively. Monitor productivity and quality control, track progress, and maintain accurate daily reports and documentation. Collaborate with project managers to communicate updates, challenges, and solutions. Manage site logistics, material deliveries, equipment usage, and workforce planning. Support punch list completion and final turnover to the client.Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Work is performed on active construction sites in varying weather conditions. Ability to walk job sites, climb stairs and ladders, and work on uneven surfaces. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. as needed and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). May require early mornings, evenings, weekends, and occasional travel depending on project needs.Required Qualifications:
Five or more years of experience as a Superintendent, or in an equivalent field leadership role, on commercial construction projects. Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction schedules. Must have OSHA 10-hour certification. Must hold a valid Florida Driver's License. Must be able to pass a Level II background check. Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades. Demonstrated ability to manage resources, including budgets, schedules, and materials, in an environment with multiple competing demands. Knowledge of estimating, construction methods, engineering, equipment, and technology. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam preferred. Excellent organizational, supervisory, communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
