Veterans Preference Summary:

Commercial construction skills and work as listed but not limited to: Underground plumbing, above ground plumbing, fixture setting and plumbing trim work in commercial buildings.

Requirements:

Ability to travel, as needed, for projects. Must provide all own hand tools (Employer will not provide tools) Knowledge of plumbing trade related tools Journeyman or master's Plumbing license is a plus but not required Equivalent technical school or work experience Three or more years of experience specific to the commercial plumbing industry Knowledge and experience with some aspects of the HVAC side is a plus. Continued growth in this area will be an expectation. Ability to adhere to work schedule. Ability to work overtime if needed.

Nature of Job:

Employees are regularly required to talk or hear Employees are required to sit, squat, crawl, lay down and stand for long periods of time Employees are required at times to walk uneven terrain Employees are required to use hands to manipulate small parts and tools. Employees must be able to push, pull and handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Position requires the ability to lift and carry tools, material, and equipment up to 50 pounds Position requires physical stamina and the ability to climb stairs and in/out of a scissor lift and navigate ditches Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus .

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Perform appropriate communication with co-workers and customers Operating knowledge of plumbing systems and efficient use of trade tools Promotes preventive maintenance of tools and equipment Knowledge of the safe use of hazardous materials, solvents, cleaners, adhesives Ability to perform math computations needed in the trade Personal computer, tablet, and smart phone skills Experience with Copper, Cast Iron, Black Iron, PVC, CPVC, and PEX piping. Ability to solder, braze, roll groove, thread, and pro-press pipe. Install underground storm, sanitary, or water piping systems, extending piping as needed to connect fixtures and plumbing. Ability to layout piping and fixtures from prints. At times, lead other employees to complete task and achieve goals Develop the skills of apprentices while working with them. Abide by Nash Plumbing and Mechanical guidelines as set forth in the Company Handbook Assemble pipe sections, tubing, or fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing, or welding equipment. Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment, and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator Perform work within OSHA guidelines Utilize proper Lock Out/Tag Out procedures Perform other duties as assigned Other duties as assigned occupations Related occupations
