As a Commercial Loan Operations Specialist at Mercantile Bank, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate processing of commercial loans, utilizing your strong organizational skills and attention to detail. This higher-level position requires expertise in the daily data entry and maintenance of the Loan Accounting System, collateral file, and imaging systems. Your responsibilities will include loading commercial loan packages onto the core system, monitoring adjustment requests, and managing non-posted transactions. You will also review daily reports, verify the accuracy of loan inputs, and ensure quality assurance across all operations. Your ability to maintain data integrity will be crucial as you assist in cleaning up names, addresses, and collateral information. By identifying trends and mitigating risks, you will help uphold the bank's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction while complying with all regulatory requirements. An accounting background will enhance your ability to calculate payment and interest figures accurately, ensuring the integrity of loan transactions. Experience in bank loan operations and familiarity with lending regulations will be advantageous, especially in the booking and maintenance of complex commercial loans.
