Sanitation Laborer

Position Summary:

The Sanitation Laborer is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production areas, equipment, and facility spaces to ensure a safe, clean, and compliant food manufacturing environment. This position works 3rd shift and plays a critical role in preparing the facility for daily production.

Shift:

3rd Shift (overnight hours; schedule may vary based on production needs)

Key Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize production lines, equipment, and work areas Disassemble and reassemble equipment for deep cleaning Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to company and OSHA guidelines Sweep, mop, and remove waste from production and warehouse areas Ensure all sanitation tasks meet food safety and quality standards Complete sanitation logs and documentation accurately Report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED preferred Previous sanitation or manufacturing experience is a plus, but not required Ability to work overnight hours and weekends as needed Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team Basic understanding of safety and cleanliness standards

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Comfortable working in wet, cold, or humid environments Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely

Work Environment:

Food manufacturing facility with exposure to water, cleaning agents, and varying temperatures Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Pay:

$19.83 - $21.10 per hour
