05-May-2026 Commissioning Manager - CCGT, Wisconsin or Indiana based A leading energy developer is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to lead all commissioning, startup, system turnover, and operational readiness activities for a utility-scale combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) project. This individual will act as the owner's commissioning lead, overseeing execution across all plant systems and engineering disciplines, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, controls, and balance of plant systems. The Commissioning Manager will coordinate EPC contractors, OEM representatives, engineering teams, construction personnel, and plant operations to safely deliver the facility from mechanical completion through first fire, synchronization, performance testing, and commercial operation date (COD). Key Responsibilities 1. Commissioning Leadership Develop and own the integrated commissioning and startup strategy for the entire facility Establish system boundaries, turnover sequencing, commissioning milestones, and startup schedules Lead cross-functional commissioning meetings with construction, engineering, OEMs, QA/QC, and operations teams Serve as the owner's primary authority for commissioning execution 2. Multi-Discipline System Oversight Provide commissioning oversight across: Civil and site infrastructure systems Structural and equipment support systems Mechanical systems (gas turbines, HRSGs, steam turbine systems, cooling water, balance of plant) Electrical systems (substations, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, plant distribution) Instrumentation, controls, DCS, and automation systems Utility and auxiliary systems (compressed air, water treatment, fire protection, fuel gas systems) 3. Construction Turnover & Readiness Coordinate turnover from construction to commissioning by system and subsystem Review turnover packages, punch lists, redlines, inspection records, and QA/QC documentation Verify system completeness and commissioning readiness prior to energization or startup 4. Startup & Performance Testing Oversee pre-commissioning activities (flushing, loop checks, functional testing, energization) Coordinate and manage startup activities, including: Initial energization Controls integration Gas turbine first fire Steam turbine roll Grid synchronization Reliability and performance testing Lead issue resolution during startup events ...
