Construction Materials Testing Technician (CMT, Engineering Technician)

HydroTech Environmental and Engineering is looking for a self-motivated, team-oriented individual with good communication skills, to fill a full-time position as a Construction Materials Engineering Technician. The role will be field and lab work done primarily on project sites where you will: Observe and document the work being performed Read the project plans and specifications to determine compliance Sample, test, and observe the placement of soil, reinforcing steel, concrete, grout, masonry, and asphalt Perform basic math calculations to determine compliance Communicate with the on site sub-contractor, contractor, and owner's representative Coordinate other HydroTech technicians to complete the work Assist in training new technicians in field testing Assist in training new technicians in laboratory testing You MUST be able to lift and carry approximately 50 pounds. 2 years experience testing soils and concrete, and an American Concrete Institute (ACI) certification, ICC certification, or NICET certification is a plus. You MUST have a current driver's license and reliable transportation to our office in Terre Haute. The successful candidate must demonstrate a proven ability to work independently, organize and manage multiple tasks with a high level of detail and project assignments, and interact well the HydroTech team.
