Contact Ranger

Job Summary Contact Rangers are essential to meet the demands brought on by park visitation and the completion of many customer service duties. The Contact Range will provide efficient, and professional service to our guests, ensures the correct collection and recording of all monies due for goods and services, maintain general knowledge of park facilities and operations to help guests with their questions, provide accurate directions to any place in the park and accurate interpretation of park rules and regulations, use the DWR computerized site to sell all fishing licenses, help with physical inventory, and perform as the occasion requires any additional duties requested by the supervisor. Duties Perform high quality customer service. Responsible for daily inventories of food and merchandise, revenue collection for merchandise/food/etc. Responsible for reconciling daily revenue on the cash register. Possess familiarity with the park rules, trails, and facilities. Daily cleaning of your work area. Take food orders and assist with carry-out orders being delivered to guests in the proper time. Must have reliable transportation. Requires standing, bending, and walking. Must be willing to work shift work, weekends, and holidays.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be able to count money, perform daily register transactions, reconcile register, and complete daily cash management paperwork. Must be able to work well with other staff and with park guests in a team environment.

General knowledge of park operations and local attractions. General knowledge of computer operations.

Pay:

$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
