Job Description
Controls Engineer responsible for supporting robot integration, PLC programming, automation commissioning, equipment start-up, and production line launches in automotive manufacturing environments. Job Requirements Robot integration experience System commissioning and launch support experience Strong PLC programming and controls systems experience Omron PLC experience using CX-One Experience commissioning automation systems Experience debugging automation systems Experience troubleshooting automation systems Automotive manufacturing experience Experience reading and troubleshooting electrical prints Experience reading and troubleshooting wiring layouts Experience reading and troubleshooting control panels Hands-on experience supporting equipment start-up Hands-on experience supporting production line launches Experience working in high-pressure production environments Valid passport required for travel between the United States and Canada Preferred Skills Honda manufacturing environment experience Vision systems experience, including Cognex, Keyence, or similar systems Industrial robotics experience, including: Fanuc ABB Kawasaki Yaskawa Dispense systems experience, including sealants, adhesives, or urethane Welding application experience Material handling application experience DeviceNet experience Ethernet/IP experience ProfiNet experience Body-in-White experience Automotive assembly systems experience Simulation tool experience, including RoboGuide, RobotStudio, or similar platforms Job Responsibilities Support robot integration for automotive manufacturing systems Program and troubleshoot PLCs and control systems Develop, modify, and debug Omron PLC programs using CX-One Commission automation systems during equipment installation and launch Support equipment start-up activities Support production line launch activities Troubleshoot electrical prints, wiring layouts, and control panels Diagnose and resolve automation, controls, and robotics issues Support production environments during commissioning, debugging, and launch phases Coordinate controls support for robotic, welding, dispense, material handling, and assembly systems Assist with device communication and industrial network troubleshooting Support travel between United States and Canada project locations as required
