Job Description
Controls Technician The Controls Technician is responsible for supporting and maintaining electrical controls, automation systems, and manufacturing equipment within a high-volume production environment. This role requires travel between our Denver, PA and Lancaster, PA facilities. Key Responsibilities Program, troubleshoot, and support automation systems for production lines, including PLC programming, HMI development, and control system integration Partner with machine operators, maintenance technicians, and engineers to troubleshoot industrial equipment, including power supplies, drives, motor control systems, and furnace components Support the operation and maintenance of automated cable and wire manufacturing equipment Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation Assist with installation, startup, and commissioning of control systems and production equipment Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and automation systems Support equipment reliability initiatives and continuous process improvement efforts Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to reduce equipment downtime Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation Follow all plant safety procedures, electrical standards, and compliance requirements Qualifications Technical diploma, Associate's degree, or equivalent training in Electrical Technology, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, Controls Technology, or Industrial Maintenance Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field strongly preferred Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens PLC systems required Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and automation equipment Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and troubleshoot control circuits Experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team Benefits Competitive pay Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and families starting day one Company-funded Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) Optional Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options Disability, accident, critical illness, hospitalization, and life insurance options Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401(k) with 5% company match after 90 days Pet insurance Generous paid time off, wellness days (for onsite roles), and paid holidays Our Core Values Be a
