Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular stock audits, and coordinating purchasing to meet customer demand. Implement merchandising strategies to optimize product placement, pricing, and promotional displays that boost sales. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards while maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and foster positive relationships to encourage repeat business. Utilize sales data and retail math skills to analyze performance metrics, develop budgets, and implement marketing initiatives that increase store visibility. Experience Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with a focus on convenience or similar quick-service retail settings. Demonstrated ability in supervising teams, conducting interviews, and recruiting new employees effectively. Strong organizational skills with experience in bookkeeping, payroll processing, and inventory management systems. Excellent communication skills in multiple languages is a plus; bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse communities. Familiarity with retail sales techniques, cashiering procedures, pricing strategies, and store merchandising practices. Experience with POS systems, purchasing processes, cash handling protocols, and retail math calculations. Prior assistant manager or supervisory roles that showcase leadership capabilities in managing shifts and developing staff are preferred.
