Job Description

Job Overview We are a seeking a dedicated and energetic seasonal Cook to join our team in a dynamic culinary environment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to live in a beautiful lakefront cabin and contribute to meal preparation and food service within a vibrant setting. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for food, excellent kitchen skills, and a commitment to food safety standards. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering nutritious, delicious meals while maintaining high-quality food handling and service practices. This position is perfect for someone eager to grow their culinary expertise and make a positive impact for our staff and guests through exceptional food experiences. Our kitchen serves up to 50 people per day per meal. Responsibilities Assist with appealing meal options that meet dietary guidelines and client preferences Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, portion sizes, and safety standards Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, sanitation, and hygiene practices are followed at all times Serve meals efficiently while providing friendly and attentive customer service to clients or resident. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies Follow all food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within the food industry or restaurant settings Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food handling techniques Excellent knife skills and proficiency in culinary techniques for diverse meal types Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations governing food service environments. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
