Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in food preparation, ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is perfect for individuals with experience in dietary departments, restaurants, or catering services who are eager to contribute to meal preparation and support our culinary staff. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas. Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality. Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to meet daily production needs. Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards during all food handling processes. Support the catering team with meal preparations for events as needed. Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies. Skills Experience in a kitchen environment, preferably within a restaurant or catering setting. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively. Familiarity with culinary techniques and meal preparation processes. Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with team members. Previous experience as a dietary aide or in a dietary department is a plus.
