Job Description
Overview Join our vibrant team as an Organic Farm Worker and immerse yourself in the rewarding world of sustainable agriculture! This hands-on role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the growth of healthy, organic produce while working in a dynamic outdoor environment. You'll be a vital part of a passionate community dedicated to eco-friendly farming practices, ensuring the freshest, highest-quality crops reach our customers. Duties Assist with planting, watering, weeding, and harvesting organic vegetables and herbs according to seasonal schedules. Maintain soil health through composting, mulching, and natural fertilization techniques aligned with organic standards. Support crop rotation and pest management using eco-friendly methods to promote plant health without synthetic chemicals. Help with maintaining farm infrastructure including irrigation systems, fencing, and tools to ensure a safe and efficient workspace. Participate in daily farm chores such as equipment cleaning, packaging produce, and preparing harvests for distribution. Record planting dates, crop progress, and harvest data accurately to support farm management and compliance with organic certification standards. Collaborate with team members to uphold sustainable farming practices and contribute ideas for continuous improvement. Qualifications Enthusiastic about sustainable agriculture and eager to learn organic farming techniques. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions. Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude. Prior experience on a farm or in gardening is a plus but not required; training will be provided. Basic understanding of safety procedures related to farm equipment and tools. Willingness to follow detailed instructions and adhere to organic certification guidelines.
