Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager to support and lead cost accounting and plant finance activities within a manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with plant leadership and operations to ensure accurate costing, strong financial controls, and clear financial insight to support operational and strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cost accounting activities including standard costing, inventory valuation, and manufacturing variance analysis
  • Perform plant-level financial analysis covering production costs, margins, operational performance, and working capital
  • Support general plant accounting activities, including month-end close, inventory reconciliations, and reporting accuracy
  • Analyze labor, material, and overhead variances and communicate findings and recommendations to plant leadership
  • Partner with operations, supply chain, and engineering to identify cost drivers and improvement opportunities
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and capital analysis for plant operations
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
  • Contribute to ERP process improvements and data integrity related to cost and plant accounting
  • Mentor and support cost accounting staff as applicable Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory, and plant financial reporting
  • Experience with manufacturing ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, QAD, or similar)
