Job Description

Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract Experienced CVOR Techs are needed for contract opportunities, utilizing your expertise to assist in the care of pre-operative patients and to support surgical teams. This role focuses on performing essential technical duties in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), ensuring quality patient care and optimal surgical outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent CVOR Tech certification required Prior experience as a CVOR Tech in a busy surgical environment Strong knowledge of sterile technique and cardiovascular surgical procedures Ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team and adapt quickly to evolving situations Excellent communication and teamwork skills BLS certification required; additional certifications a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room for cardiac and vascular surgeries, ensuring all supplies and equipment are ready and sterile Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures by handling instruments and maintaining a sterile field Monitor and manage supplies and instruments, ensuring everything is accounted for before, during, and after surgery Collaborate closely with the perioperative team to provide optimal care to patients Support patient positioning and transfer as needed, following safety protocols Maintain accurate documentation and uphold standards of infection control This is a contract position, offering you the chance to grow professionally in a dynamic surgical environment.
