Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Residential Medication Aide (CRMA) to join our team at our Jonesport and Calais locations. This vital role involves providing high-quality, person-centered care to residents in assisted living, nursing home, and memory care settings. As a CRMA, you will support residents with daily activities, medication administration, and health monitoring, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. Responsibilities Administer medications accurately following physician orders and established protocols while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards. Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to assess residents' health status regularly. Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility, and feeding to promote independence and well-being. Observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition promptly to nursing staff or healthcare providers. Support residents with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, or tube feeding procedures with patience and professionalism. Maintain detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and documentation of care provided. Follow infection control protocols and ensure a safe environment by adhering to safety standards related to catheter care, medication administration, and medical records management. Skills Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication management practices. Experience with medical documentation systems such as EMR or EHR platforms like Epic or Cerner is essential. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia. Excellent caregiving skills with a compassionate approach toward seniors and individuals requiring memory or hospice care. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensuring confidentiality of patient information at all times. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, transferring residents safely, and responding quickly in emergency situations involving acute or chronic health conditions.
