Role:

We are looking for a hands-on Custom Machine Builder / Maintenance Technician supervisor to build, install, troubleshoot, and maintain custom machinery used in our manufacturing operations. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills and the ability to reverse engineered parts, diagnose issues, and keep equipment running efficiently. The candidate will also be responsible for managing and supervising setup personnel to ensure machine setups are completed efficiently, safely, and according to production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance and repairs on production equipment Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and layouts Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Install and debug new machinery and tooling Work to improve machine performance and reliability Maintain documentation and ensure safe operation of equipment Build and assemble custom machines, fixtures, and automation systems Manage and supervise setup personnel during machine set up

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in machine building, maintenance, or industrial equipment repair Strong mechanical aptitude (bearings, drives, alignment, assemblies) Basic electrical knowledge (wiring, sensors, motors, troubleshooting) Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics Ability to read blueprints and schematics Supervisory and management

Preferred Skills:

Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley or similar) Welding and fabrication experience CNC or automation equipment experience Experience in a custom machine shop or manufacturing environment Supervisory and management experience
