POSITION PURPOSE
The Account Manager serves as the primary liaison between assigned customers, Sales, Job Planning, Manufacturing, and Operations teams throughout all phases of the production process, from order entry through final delivery and invoicing. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate communication, timely execution, and exceptional customer service while supporting operational efficiency and company objectives. The Account Manager proactively manages customer expectations by coordinating job requirements, monitoring production progress, resolving issues, and ensuring that quality, delivery, and service commitments are consistently achieved.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, providing professional and responsive communication throughout the entire order lifecycle. Review and interpret customer purchase orders, specifications, and requirements to ensure accuracy and alignment with approved quotes and production capabilities. Coordinate and communicate detailed job specifications, timelines, and customer expectations to Job Planning, Prepress, Manufacturing, and Shipping teams. Maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal departments to promote collaboration, trust, and customer satisfaction. Proactively monitor job status, identify potential delays or issues, and communicate updates or solutions in a timely manner. Maintain a high level of urgency and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ensure all documentation, job instructions, and system updates are accurate, complete, and maintained throughout the production process. Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve workflow, communication, and customer experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Review customer purchase orders against approved quotations and ensure all requirements are accurate before processing. Enter, open, and maintain customer jobs within the company database system. Complete and process Job Planning documentation to support accurate production execution. Coordinate job requirements and specifications with appropriate departments. Monitor job progress daily and provide proactive status updates to customers and internal teams. Manage and monitor Prepress activities to ensure timely approvals and production readiness. Prepare and distribute press, sewing, binding, finishing, packaging, and labeling instructions. Coordinate shipping requirements and issue shipping requests approximately one week prior to scheduled completion. Maintain and update customer/job status reports on a weekly basis. Review completed jobs for accuracy and ensure timely reconciliation and invoicing within 48 hours of completion. Address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests professionally while ensuring timely resolution. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support customer service and operational goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities with attention to detail. Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work collaboratively with customers, sales teams, and internal manufacturing departments. Proficiency with computer systems, databases, email, and Microsoft Office applications. Experience in manufacturing, printing, publishing, or a related production environment preferred.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
