The Account Manager serves as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and is responsible for building strong relationships, inspecting properties, resolving concerns, identifying enhancement opportunities, and ensuring our services consistently meet Holt's standards. This position works closely with our Operations to coordinate service delivery, communicate client expectations, and develop solutions that improve both the appearance and long-term health of each property. Key Responsibilities Client Relationships and Account Management Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients. Build strong, long-term client relationships through consistent communication, responsiveness, and follow-through. Conduct regular property visits and communicate proactively with clients about property conditions, service needs, and upcoming work. Understand each client's expectations, priorities, budget, and long-term goals for their property. Address client concerns promptly and coordinate with Operations to ensure problems are resolved. Maintain accurate client notes, property information, follow-up items, and communication records within the company's CRM. Support contract renewals and help maintain a high level of client retention. Build and find new client relationships. Property Quality and Service Coordination Perform routine property inspections to evaluate service quality and confirm that contract specifications are being met. Identify concerns involving turf, plant material, irrigation, weeds, pests, disease, drainage, trees, and overall property appearance. Document property issues with clear notes and photographs. Communicate client expectations and property needs to the Operations team. Work with Operations to coordinate scheduling, corrective work, seasonal services, and special projects. Follow up after work is completed to confirm quality and client satisfaction. Help ensure crews have accurate property information, service expectations, and special instructions. Sales and Account Growth Identify landscape enhancement and additional service opportunities within assigned accounts. Recommend practical solutions that improve the appearance, health, safety, and value of client properties. Prepare or coordinate proposals, pricing, and follow-up for enhancement opportunities. Present recommendations professionally and clearly to clients. Maintain an active pipeline of account-growth opportunities within the company's CRM. Contribute to company goals for client retention, enhancement sales, and portfolio growth. Project and Material Coordination Assist with planning approved landscape enhancements and special projects. Coordinate material needs with Operations and approved vendors. Confirm that project scopes, materials, client expectations, and site information are communicated before work begins. Monitor active projects and communicate progress or changes to both the client and the Operations team. Participate in final project inspections to confirm completion and quality. Qualifications Minimum of three years of experience in the lawn, landscape, horticulture, or property-management industry. Strong knowledge of commercial landscape maintenance practices and quality standards. Working knowledge of plant identification, turf care, irrigation, pruning, tree care, landscape enhancements, and common plant health concerns. Understanding of landscape installation and basic hardscape construction is preferred. Previous experience managing client relationships, properties, crews, or landscape projects. Proven ability to identify customer needs and develop additional sales opportunities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable. Comfortable using CRM and field-service software to manage client communications, proposals, opportunities, work orders, property information, and follow-up. Able to learn new technology and consistently use company systems to remain organized and accountable. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
