Job Description

Insurance Account Manager — Personal Lines Client Retention & Service | Full-Time | New Orleans, LA (Elmwood) $40,000 - $50,000 base (based on experience)

+ Benefits Who We Are Chabert Insurance The Ehrhardt Agency is one of the fastest-growing independent insurance agencies in Southeast Louisiana. Founded in 2020, we've grown to over $16 million in active premium in just six years — not through gimmicks, but by doing right by the families and businesses who trust us with what matters most. With offices in Mandeville and New Orleans, we serve clients across the Northshore and the Greater New Orleans metro with Home, Auto, Flood, Commercial, and Life insurance. As an independent agency, we represent dozens of carriers — which means when Louisiana's insurance market gets tough (and it does), our team has real options to fight for our clients instead of a one-company script. We're a tight-knit, family-run team that takes the work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously. We invest in modern tools (EZLynx agency management, automated client communication), we invest in training, and most of all we invest in our people. When the agency wins, everyone wins — and we're building something worth being part of. About the Role We're looking for an Account Manager who loves taking care of people. This is a retention-focused role at the heart of our agency: you'll be the friendly, knowledgeable point of contact our existing clients rely on, and the person who makes sure they never have a reason to leave. In today's Louisiana insurance market, renewals aren't automatic — premiums shift, carriers change appetite, and clients need an advocate reviewing their options every year. That's you. You'll proactively reshop policies before renewal, deliver options with clear guidance, and turn what most agencies treat as paperwork into the reason clients stay with us for life. What You'll Do Own the client experience — Serve as the primary service contact for an assigned book of personal lines clients — answering questions, processing policy changes, issuing documents, and resolving concerns quickly and warmly Reshop before renewal — Review upcoming renewals, remarket policies across our carrier lineup when pricing or coverage can be improved, and present options to clients before renewal ever hits their mailbox Be the advocate — Guide clients through billing questions, coverage reviews, claims support, and carrier communications from first call to resolution Document everything — Keep client records, activity notes, and follow-up tasks current in our EZLynx agency management system — clean documentation is how we protect our clients and our agency Grow what we keep — Spot gaps and opportunities within existing accounts — a home client without flood coverage, an auto client who needs an umbrella — and round out accounts to fully protect each household Show up for Louisiana — Support the team during storm season and carrier transitions, when our clients need us most What We're Looking For 2+ years of insurance agency, customer service, or account management experience preferred (personal lines experience is a big plus) Louisiana Property & Casualty license — or the willingness to obtain it (we'll support you through licensing) A genuine service heart: patient, empathetic, and energized by solving problems for people Strong organization and follow-through — you keep promises and never let a renewal slip through the cracks Comfortable with technology; EZLynx or other agency management system experience is a plus Clear, professional communication by phone, email, and text A team-first attitude — we win together Compensation & Benefits Competitive base — $40,000 - $50,000 base salary, based on experience Earn more as you grow — Commission opportunities on top of your base — including renewal commission on new accounts you bring in, so the business you build keeps paying you year after year Health coverage — Health insurance available Retirement — 401(k) retirement plan available Real investment in you — Licensing support, ongoing training, and a structured onboarding program — we set our people up to succeed Room to grow — A growing, stable, locally owned agency where your work is seen and your ideas are heard Why Join Chabert Insurance? Most agencies talk about culture. We'd rather show you: a leadership team that works alongside you, clients who leave us five-star reviews because of how they're treated, and a growth story — $16M in premium in six years — that creates real advancement opportunity for the people who help us build it. If you want to be a name on a roster, this isn't the place. If you want to matter, apply. Ready to Apply? Apply through Indeed — and tell us in a few sentences why taking care of clients is your thing.
