Job Summary This is a position with room for advancement! We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced environment for 11am - 5pm shifts and 5-11pm shifts (2pm -close, mid-shifts also exist). This position is for both the Northampton and Amherst locations. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for customer service and a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. This role involves providing excellent service to our customers while efficiently handling transactions and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods. Ensure compliance with food safety standards by sanitizing work areas and equipment regularly. Handle cash and credit transactions, ensuring accuracy in processing payments Assist in suggestive selling for menu items to enhance the customer experience. Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, kitchen, and cashier station. Collaborate with kitchen staff when needed. Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction. Qualifications Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in a café or grocery store setting, is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards. Familiarity with retail math for accurate cash handling and transaction processing. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. A culinary background or interest in food preparation is a plus. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
