Job Description

Position Summary The Team Leader is responsible for leading a residential cleaning team while delivering high-quality customer service and maintaining The Maids 22-Step Cleaning Process standards. This role requires leadership, reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to motivate and coach team members while ensuring homes are cleaned efficiently and professionally. The Team Leader is expected to lead by example, maintain company standards, communicate effectively with customers and management, and ensure all work is completed thoroughly before leaving each home. Responsibilities Team Leadership Lead and supervise a team of 2-4 cleaning professionals Ensure team members follow company procedures and safety standards Train and coach team members on proper cleaning techniques Maintain positive morale and professionalism within the team Ensure all team members arrive on time and prepared for work Cleaning Responsibilities Perform detailed residential cleaning using the company's 22-Step Cleaning Process Inspect all completed work before leaving customer homes Ensure floors are vacuumed and mopped properly, including double mopping and scrubbing when needed Ensure baseboards, corners, ledges, and high-touch areas are cleaned thoroughly Ensure all cleaning tools, poles, brushes, and supplies are properly stored in the vacuum apron until needed Maintain cleaning equipment and report damaged or missing items Customer Service Communicate professionally and courteously with customers Address customer concerns immediately and notify management when necessary Ensure customer satisfaction before leaving the home Represent the company professionally at all times Ensure company vehicles remain clean and organized
Operations and Safety:
Ensure teams do not leave homes until the Team Leader has completed a final walk- through Enforce company policies including: o No phones in customer homes except emergencies o No vaping inside company vehicles or customer homes o Uniforms must be clean and professional o Vacuum apron must be worn properly throughout the clean Monitor team efficiency and productivity Ensure company vehicles remain clean and organized Qualifications Previous residential or commercial cleaning experience preferred Leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong attention to detail Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods Positive attitude and strong communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment Skills Leadership and coaching Time management Attention to detail Customer service Problem-solving Teamwork Organization Dependability Why Work With Us The Maids of Shelby Township offers: Competitive pay Paid training Supportive team environment Opportunity for advancement Consistent daytime schedule Company vehicles provided during work hours Professional cleaning system established since 1979 Team-focused work culture Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 25-40 pounds Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching Ability to work on feet for extended periods Ability to work in various home environments Schedule Monday through Friday Daytime hours
