Job Description

Position Summary​ The Client Connection Team Member serves as the primary point of contact for individuals seeking mental health and substance use services at LifeHouse. This role requires exceptional customer service, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. The Client Connection Team Member supports new and existing clients by guiding them through the application and intake process via phone, in-person, or through the online portal. This position plays a crucial role in fostering a respectable and inclusive environment for all clients. Key Responsibilities Client Communication and Support Respond to inquiries from individuals seeking services by phone, in person, or via online platforms Assist clients in completing applications for both residential and outpatient services Demonstrate empathy, professionalism, and a trauma-informed approach in all client interactions Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards Data Entry and System Navigation Enter new client information and update existing profiles in the electronic health record system (EMR-Bear) Perform data entry while multitasking and actively engaging in conversation Schedule client appointments and monitor client status through appropriate platforms Insurance and Scheduling Coordination Conduct insurance verification using the New Mexico Medicaid Portal, Availity, and other commercial insurance portals Assign yourself as the Intake and Assessment Coordinator (IAC) in the client record when appropriate Coordinate appointment scheduling for counselors and transfer calls to appropriate departments ​ Team Collaboration and Administration Maintain regular inter-office communication via Microsoft Teams and Grasshopper Participating in staff meetings, individual supervision, and assigned training Perform reception and front office support duties as requested by the Office Manager Uphold company values and provide transparent, accurate information about LifeHouse services Training and Compliance Complete all LifeHouse-assigned training, including but not limited to: HIPAA compliance Professional Boundaries and Communication Customer service and trauma-informed care EMR system training and insurance portal use
Position Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Proficiency with computers, data entry, and navigating web-based systems Excellent telephone etiquette and communication skills Understanding of HIPAA guidelines and client confidentiality standards Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening Strong multitasking skills and attention to detail Ability to follow company policies and procedures
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a behavioral health or healthcare setting Familiarity with EMR-Bear, Availity, and New Mexico Medicaid Portal Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, client-centered environment

$16.50 - $17.50 per hour
