Job Description
Survoy's Superior Service is seeking a dynamic, experienced Plumbing Service Manager to lead the growth of our commercial plumbing service offering.
This is a build role:
you'll take ownership of planning, coordinating, and executing commercial plumbing projects and service work, standing up the processes, team, and customer relationships needed to scale this line of business from the ground up. You'll drive technician performance, ensure top-tier service delivery, and maintain strict adherence to building codes and safety standards — all while shaping how Survoy's commercial plumbing services grow and compete in the market. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, bring both hands-on plumbing expertise and business-building instincts, and want the opportunity to build something from the ground floor, this is your chance to make a lasting impact. Duties- Build, manage and supervise the commercial plumbing service team — including plumbers, apprentices, and field technicians — ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship as the team scales.
- Own pricing and estimating for commercial plumbing service work and maintenance agreements, accurately assessing materials, labor, and timelines to ensure profitability as the offering grows.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to guide diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of commercial plumbing systems.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, plumbing regulations, and safety standards for commercial plumbing systems.
- Coordinate with commercial clients, property managers, and internal teams to schedule work efficiently while delivering excellent customer service across the project lifecycle.
- Conduct site assessments of existing commercial plumbing systems — domestic water, backflow prevention, and related infrastructure — to identify repair, upgrade, and service opportunities that grow the account base.
- Oversee pipe threading, system maintenance, repairs, and remodel/upgrade projects, including proper use of hand and power tools.
- Build and standardize service agreements, SOPs, and maintenance contracts to establish a repeatable, scalable commercial plumbing service model.
- Manage inventory of tools, materials, and welding equipment supporting the commercial plumbing service line.
- Facilitate training on new techniques, code updates, and service standards as the team and offering expand.
- Identify growth opportunities within Survoy's existing commercial customer base, partnering with sales and leadership to expand plumbing service penetration. Experience
- Proven experience managing commercial plumbing service teams; construction or new-build experience is a plus but not the focus of this role.
- Strong background in service estimating and pricing, combined with hands-on commercial plumbing experience.
- Solid knowledge of local building and plumbing codes for commercial systems; ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Mechanical knowledge of domestic water systems, backflow prevention, pipe threading, and system maintenance/repair procedures.
- Skilled in the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment on commercial job sites.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent service jobs or commercial accounts simultaneously.
- Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills, particularly with commercial clients and property managers.
- A business-builder mindset — comfort standing up new processes, systems, and a growing team from the ground up.
- Valid driver's license; field service management software experience (e.
