Job Description
Client Account Manager — Onboarding & Lead Quality LeadLedger Hillsboro, OR Job Details Full-time $25 - $34 an hour 10 hours ago Benefits Health insurance 401(k) Paid time off 401(k) matching Qualifications Account maintenance Spreadsheets Account development Lead generation English Vendor relationship management Vendor communication In-home experience Account management Client interaction via phone calls Full Job Description About the role LeadLedger is a pay-per-call lead marketing company serving home service businesses — plumbers, HVAC contractors, roofers, electricians, and more. Our customers pay us for qualified phone calls from homeowners who need work done. Simple model, but it lives or dies on lead quality and on relationships with the contractors we serve. We're hiring an experienced person to own the customer side of that business. This is not a call center seat and it is not an entry-level support job. You'll run a book of accounts, onboard new customers, and go to bat with our lead suppliers when the calls we're paying for aren't what we were promised. You'll work directly with the owner. If you're good, this role grows into managing a team. What you'll actually do Manage a book of contractor accounts. Know their business, their service area, their pricing, and whether the leads are working. Call them proactively — not just when something breaks. Onboard new customers. Walk them through how pay-per-call works, get their service area and hours set up correctly, get their account funded, and make sure their first week goes well. Challenge bad leads with our vendors. This is a real part of the job, most days. Pull the recording, check the duration and the caller's intent against the account's scope, build the case, and take it to the supplier. Then don't take the first "no" for an answer. Keep accounts funded and healthy. Watch balances, call the accounts that have gone quiet, and have the money conversation without flinching. Handle customer disputes. When a contractor says a call shouldn't have been billed, investigate it honestly and resolve it. What we're looking for
Required:
2+ years in account management, customer success, client services, collections, claims, or vendor management — something where you owned relationships and talked about money The ability to hold a position under pushback. Most of the vendor work is polite, evidence-backed disagreement, repeated all day. Comfort building a case from data: pulling call records, reading durations and transcripts, comparing what we were billed against what we should have been billed Solid spreadsheet skills — you can filter a call log and spot the pattern Clean, professional written English. You'll be emailing customers and vendors from a company address. Willingness to work in our Hillsboro office, Monday through Friday Strong plus: Background in home services (plumbing, HVAC, roofing, pest control) — you know what a real service call sounds like versus a tire-kicker Experience with lead generation, pay-per-call, or call tracking platforms (CallRail, Ringba, eLocal, or similar) Experience in a small company where you owned an area end to end Not required: a college degree. Schedule and location Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM with a one-hour lunch. In-person at our Hillsboro office (1449 NE 25th Ave, Unit D, Hillsboro, OR 97124). This is not a remote or hybrid role. Compensation and benefits $25.00 - $34.00 per hour depending on experience Performance bonus' tied to onboarding accounts (there is no cap on commissions) Health benefits 401(k) with company match Two weeks paid time off Wage review at 90 days To apply Send a résumé and a short note answering this: tell us about a time a vendor, carrier, or supplier billed you or your employer for something they shouldn't have, and what you did about it. Be specific. We'd rather read three honest sentences than a page of adjectives. Final candidates will be asked to listen to a short sample call and make the case for whether it should have been billed. Background check required before an offer.
