Job Description
HVAC/Plumbing Service ManagerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a dependable and professional HVAC/Plumbing Service Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our service department. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, with plumbing experience considered a plus.
This is a working management position that requires hands-on involvement in scheduling, dispatching, service execution, and small projects. The Service Manager will also play a key role in technician development, training, and maintaining strong customer relationships.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily scheduling and dispatching of service technicians.
Coordinate and monitor the execution of commercial HVAC service work and small projects.
Ensure service calls and projects are completed efficiently, professionally, and to a high standard.
Provide guidance, technical support, and training to service technicians.
Develop and maintain technician skills through ongoing coaching and hands-on training.
Interact directly with customers to understand service needs and ensure a positive customer experience.
Help troubleshoot service-related issues and provide direction to field personnel.
Coordinate resources, personnel, and schedules to meet customer and company requirements.
Maintain a professional, dependable, and customer-focused presence.
Support the overall success and efficiency of the service department.
Qualifications & SkillsCommercial HVAC experience and knowledge required.
Plumbing knowledge or experience is a strong plus.
Previous experience in HVAC service management, supervision, or a senior field-service role is preferred.
Strong organizational and scheduling skills.
Ability to effectively dispatch and coordinate technicians.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Ability and willingness to train, mentor, and develop technicians.
Dependable, professional, and presentable.
Strong willingness to learn and adapt.
Ability to work effectively in a hands-on, working-management environment.

This person should be comfortable working alongside technicians, helping solve problems in the field, training and mentoring employees, and communicating professionally with customers.

CompensationCompensation will be commensurate with experience.
