JOB PURPOSE
This position will oversee the Field Service Technicians along with the Service Writers within the Neenah location. Efforts will be focused on maximizing customer satisfaction by creating and maintaining service operations, which are responsive to customer needs. This includes timely, high quality service operations at a competitive cost to the customer while maintaining sufficient profit margins and professional image for Conger.
ESSENTIAL
DUTIES and
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for financial performance and day-to-day activities of field service functions. Monitor repairs for quality, timeliness, and efficiency. Monitor compliance with warranty, planned maintenance, and full maintenance contracts. Provide technical assistance to field service technicians. Continuously monitor department goals, objectives, and policies to assure high quality service and customer satisfaction. Maintain direct contact with current and prospective customers at end user locations. Address customer service issues. Recruit, select, train, develop, and coach direct reports. Ensure compliance with all environmental and safety regulations. Review Key Performing Indicators. Maintain positive communications with service staff and company associates. Actively promote safety and the enforcement of safety rules and policies, including but not limited to proper disposal of hazardous waste, scrap parts, and materials. Develop strong product knowledge to actively assist customers in making informed equipment maintenance and service decisions. Monitor and encourage superior customer communication skills for all department personnel. Take initiative in developing/analysis efficiencies and procedures within the department as needed. Attend and actively participate in meetings. Must demonstrate a high degree of communications (verbal and written) and organizational skills to include the ability to apply logic and constructive thinking to solve problems. Superior aptitude and ability to analyze and interpret all mechanical and electrical information in service manuals Efficiently use and have knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Demonstrate a high aptitude to learn new systems and processes Maintain regular and punctual attendance in accordance with company policies. All other duties assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2-year college degree or relevant 2-year work experience as a manager
  • Valid driver license, good driving record
  • Ability to operate equipment safely
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience servicing equipment
WORKING ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work Environment:
Most work is performed sitting at a desk for long periods and focus on a computer screen a good portion of the day. The position requires travel and the ability to drive off company grounds to visit multiple potential locations, both internal and external to the company efforts. There is potential exposure to moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, or solvents which require knowledge of proper safety procedures.
Physical Demands:
Employee must have normal manual dexterity and be able to effectively manipulate keyboard and phone. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
