Pharmaceutical & Biotech (Laboratory Chemical Reagents & Services) Advanced Chemblocks Inc. is a global supplier of laboratory chemical reagents and services to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. We are seeking a temporary Customer Service Associate to join our Hayward, CA team to cover the absence, This position will begin as an hourly role. This is a temporary coverage position supporting daily office operations. The assignment's duration will depend on coverage needs. It starts with 4-8 hours per day base, with the potential to transition to a full time position. Permanent employment is possible but not guaranteed. The selected candidate will work closely with other team members to support daily office operations and customer service activities. The position focuses primarily on document preparation, order processing, and customer support, with no more than 25% of working time spent on packing and shipping. We will provide the necessary training, and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Process customer purchase orders and enter them into the system Prepare various shipping documents, including packing lists and FedEx/UPS labels Communicate with customers via email and phone regarding order status and general inquiries Collaborate with a teammate to prepare documents required for shipments Send invoices to customers after shipping, when needed File and maintain organized records and documentation Assist with light packing (small FedEx/UPS packages only) Support other office tasks as needed
Position Requirements:
A college degree is required; however, exceptions may be made for outstanding candidates. Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to details Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Good interpersonal and communication skills Team player with a quick learning ability Proficient with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, email tools) Good typing speed Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and open-minded personality 2-3 years of work experience preferred Compensation will be based on experience To Apply If you believe you are a good fit for this role and would like to join us, please email the following: A cover letter introducing yourself Your resume Your expected salary Please apply by email only.
