- Develop a strong base of knowledge regarding products, services and capabilities to be used on a day-to-day basis in managing Customer orders in line with vendor order management as outlined by each individual customer requirement.
- Print Pick Sheets, Smacking orders, Waving of orders
- Printing BOLs and Invoices
- Work closely with cross-functional company personnel to help ensure that the company provides a superior level of customer service, and solve any problems in a timely manner
- Support Customers, Brokers and other cross-functional departments by serving as an internal point of contact to provide requested information; facilitate the coordination between Quality Assurance, Marketing, Logistics, Central Planning, Purchasing, Pricing Administration, and other departments as required
- Monitor order pricing and adhere to weekly and/or contracted Customer pricing.
- Customer knowledge expert using/generating/distributing reports, using business intelligence software, customer relationship management software and effective verbal and electronic communications
- Inventory
- Perform specific activities necessary to maintain invoices with accurate inventory results. Reconcile physical and system inventories and make adjustments when necessary. Coordinate the monthly physical inventory procedures. Allocates inventory and releases orders to the warehouse.
- Replenisher
- Issuing PO's, inventory replenishment.
- Quality
- Plan and implement a process to ensure all damaged/defective product is accounted for and properly dispositioned. Maintain records to accurately track recouped product and return saleable product to stock. Monitor and audit the inventory quality and accuracy assurance programs, including weekly and monthly reports.
SAP DATA
Entry- Utilize system to ensure accurate inventory counts. Replenish inventory in SAP daily. Complete and enter all necessary records and reports including filing invoices and maintaining customer records in a timely and accurate fashion.
- Customer Interfacing
- Communicate with customers & suppliers regarding timing of physical inventories. Work with Customer Service Representatives, Supervisors, and Warehouse Supervisors to establish order processing and inventory receipt cut-off dates.
- Warehouse Interfacing
- Communicates and interacts with the warehouse daily on route delivery and pick up orders. Reviews customer orders, allocates inventory and releases customer orders to the warehouse for picking. Coordinates with WH with product allocation
- Provide support on other projects as needed and accomplish tasks as appropriately assigned or requested
- Assist in planning, preparation, and placing of approved orders and make all adjustments with suppliers on a timely basis.
- Track and expedite all orders in the absence of management.
- Make approved adjustments to book inventories and review daily quantities required, availability and probable depletion. Review probable shortages and take action to remedy situation.
- Work with management to determine special needs, situations, or changes required for ordering or delivering of product. (Reporting outs)
- Assist in daily reporting on inventory levels to Operations Management and generate reports as required.
- Assist in coordinating trucking transportation of product orders scheduling, as needed, and support if needed, to ensure product is received on the promised date.
- Assist in various phases of inventory activity. (Replenishment)
- Verify daily warehouse load sheets. Locate missing load sheet as required.
- Find, notify, and aid in resolving discrepancies
- Input required information into computer.
- Provide support on other projects as needed and accomplish tasks as appropriately assigned or requested Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner Cross ‑ Functional Support
- Serve as the primary point of contact for logistics‑related inquiries from sales, customer service, warehouse, and production teams.
- Provide timely updates on order status, delivery issues, and inventory availability.
- Assist with customer complaints related to delivery timing, product condition, or order accuracy.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of shipping, receiving, routing, and inventory processes.
- Proficiency with WMS/ERP systems (e.g., SAP and/or similar).
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, reporting).
- Excellent communication skills with drivers, carriers, and internal teams.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail. Qualifications
- 2+ years of logistics, warehouse, or supply chain experience (food distribution preferred).
- Knowledge of cold‑chain logistics, perishable product handling, or dairy distribution is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficiency with
WMS, ERP
systems, and Microsoft Office.- Ability to communicate clearly with drivers, warehouse staff, Sales, inter-departments positions/roles and management.
- Understanding of safety, and food‑handling regulations. Preferred attributes

- SAP utilization
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings or weekends, depending on operational needs. Saturdays (i.e., holidays push the work week day forward, behind, week ahead, week later) Regulatory Knowledge
- Familiarity with food‑handling regulations, and transportation compliance.
- Understanding of HACCP, GMPs, and cold‑chain best practices. Education & Experience
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2-3 years of logistics, warehouse, or distribution experience, preferably in food or refrigerated environments.
- Experience with dairy, perishable goods, or cold‑chain logistics strongly preferred.
Physical & Environment Requirements Working Conditions:
This job operates in a Distribution Center/office environment with moderate to excessive noise and distractions. This role occasionally uses standard office equipment, such as computers or phones, and requires interaction with others on a regular basis. When moving about the warehouse areas may encounter areas that are cold, wet, slippery, obstructed, and loud and will be required to wear safety attire or protective gear. Most work is performed either sitting at a desk using a computer and phone, in WH, some lifting of supplies and materials, general labor, and occasional back up driving required. Ability to work in refrigerated warehouse environments as needed. This position is challenged with frequent interruptions, side-bar meetings and competing priorities.
