About Fast Bid Auctions Fast Bid Auctions, LLC is a fast-growing online auction company headquartered on the Central Coast of California. We operate auction yards in Santa Maria, Paso Robles, and Tulare — running competitive, engaging auctions exclusively at www.fastbidauctions.com. From heavy equipment and vehicles to commercial goods and more, we connect motivated buyers and sellers across California and beyond. Role Summary Fast Bid Auctions is seeking a confident, organized, and customer-focused Customer Service & Accounts Specialist to join our San Luis Obispo office. This is a phone-intensive position responsible for assisting customers, processing and collecting payments, following up on outstanding invoices, resolving account questions, and maintaining accurate customer records. The position also handles California DMV paperwork for vehicles and other titled assets sold through our auctions. The ideal candidate communicates clearly, remains professional during challenging conversations, follows through consistently, and is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment. This is not a bookkeeping or traditional receptionist position. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Communications Answer and manage calls through the company's main phone line Serve as a professional and helpful first point of contact for buyers, consignors, vendors, and other customers Assist customers with invoices, payments, pickup requirements, account questions, and general auction information Resolve routine customer concerns and determine when an issue should be escalated Route calls and messages to the appropriate team members Maintain accurate notes and follow-up records in company systems Customer Accounts & Payment Collection Monitor outstanding and unpaid auction invoices Contact buyers by phone, email, and text to collect outstanding balances Clearly explain payment requirements, deadlines, pickup procedures, and applicable policies Confirm payment and pickup plans and document customer commitments Process customer payments accurately and securely Maintain complete records of collection attempts, payment arrangements, and account updates Follow up consistently until outstanding account issues are resolved Communicate professionally and politely when handling overdue balances or difficult conversations Titled Asset & DMV Processing Prepare and process California DMV paperwork for vehicles and other titled assets sold through auction Review documents for accuracy and completeness before submission Maintain organized transaction and title records Track pending paperwork and follow up when additional documentation is required Ensure DMV documents are submitted within applicable deadlines Travel to the Santa Maria auction yard as needed to complete titled-asset processing Additional Auction Support Work closely with the General Manager and auction-yard teams Assist with customer and account issues before and after auctions Support other auction-office responsibilities as needed Help improve customer-service and account-follow-up procedures as the company grows Qualifications Required At least one year of experience in customer service, account support, collections, billing, or a related role Strong phone presence with the confidence to handle frequent inbound and outbound calls Comfortable discussing payments, outstanding balances, deadlines, and company policies with customers Professional and politely persistent communication style Strong organization, accuracy, and follow-through Ability to manage multiple customer accounts, priorities, and deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based software Ability to learn new systems and procedures quickly Sound judgment and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation Ideal but Not Required Two or more years of relevant customer service, account-management, collections, or operations experience Experience processing payments or following up on unpaid balances Experience handling customer complaints or sensitive account conversations Experience in the auction, equipment, rental, construction, or related industries Familiarity with California DMV paperwork, title transfers, or REG forms Work Environment & Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday — standard business hours Primary workspace: San Luis Obispo, CA main office Regular travel to Santa Maria, CA required for titled asset processing; mileage reimbursed per company policy Compensation $25 - $30 per hour, depending on experience Mileage reimbursement for required travel How to Apply Please apply through platform.
