Guest Services Representative Location Best Western Plus Royal Oak Hotel San Luis Obispo, CA Position Summary The Guest Services Representative is a hospitality professional responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences at the Front Desk . This role ensures smooth check-in/check-out operations. This position requires a friendly, organized, and service-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesFront Desk / Guest Services Duties Greet guests in a professional, warm, and welcoming manner Process check-ins and check-outs accurately and efficiently Handle guest reservations, modifications, and cancellations Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries Resolve guest concerns with professionalism and urgency Process payments and maintain accurate cash handling procedures Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for guest requests Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby Promote Best Western Rewards enrollment Qualifications Prior hotel front desk service experience preferred Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively Basic computer proficiency (PMS experience a plus) Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs Flexible availability including early mornings, weekends, and holidays Food handler certification (or ability to obtain) Schedule Expectations Typical shift may include: Front desk coverage shifts vary Weekend and holiday availability required Key Competencies Hospitality mindset Problem-solving skills Team collaboration Attention to detail Professional appearance and demeanor Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly wage (based on experience) Employee hotel discounts Paid sick leave (per California law) Opportunities for advancement
