Our San Rafael store serves a diverse community, and many of our customers prefer to conduct business in Spanish. This is a bilingual position, and you'll regularly assist customers in both English and Spanish. As you develop, you'll have the opportunity to continue your jewelry education through training toward a GIA Applied Jewelry Professional (AJP) certificate. A Schedule That's Actually Livable Tuesday-Saturday | 9:30 AM-6:00 PM That means every Sunday and Monday off , two consecutive days off each week and no late-night retail shifts. What You'll Do This is an entry-level position where you'll develop specialized knowledge while providing an excellent customer experience.

You'll:

Assist customers comfortably and professionally in both English and Spanish Build relationships with customers and provide friendly, personal service Learn about jewelry, diamonds, gold, precious metals, watches and other merchandise Learn the collateral lending business and how we help customers with short-term cash needs Develop the skills needed to confidently discuss our merchandise and services Accurately process customer transactions and documentation Follow established procedures designed to protect our customers, employees and company Work closely with your teammates to keep the store running smoothly Continue building your knowledge through hands-on and formal training Who We're Looking For You don't need jewelry or pawn experience. That's what we're here to teach you. We're looking for someone who: Speaks English and Spanish fluently enough to comfortably assist customers and explain transactions in either language Genuinely enjoys helping and talking with people Is friendly, positive and comfortable building relationships with customers Is curious and wants to learn a specialized skill Is dependable and shows up ready to contribute to the team Pays attention to details and works accurately in a busy environment Can follow established policies and procedures Is comfortable learning new computer systems Has basic math skills and is comfortable working with percentages, discounts and interest calculations Listens carefully and communicates professionally Has a high school diploma/GED or qualifying college degree Physical Requirements This position includes a combination of standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling and crouching throughout the workday. Employees must frequently be able to handle and lift merchandise weighing approximately 10-25 pounds. The position also requires close visual inspection of jewelry and merchandise, including the ability to distinguish colors and details.
