Students / Children Summary Seeking a compassionate and collaborative Speech-Language Pathologist to provide assessment, direct therapy, consultation, and documentation supporting students' communication and participation in school life. The SLP will work as part of an interdisciplinary team and play an important role in the IEP process. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments. Develop and implement individualized IEP speech and language goals. Provide individual and small-group therapy across school and community settings. Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate on goals, accommodations, and services. Monitor student progress and complete required documentation. Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, counselors, behavior specialists, families, and school districts. Provide staff training on AAC, language modeling, and communication strategies. Provide families with communication resources and training. Support communication and feeding goals when appropriate to training and scope of practice. Maintain student confidentiality and comply with FERPA and applicable professional standards. Qualifications Valid California license or credential authorizing practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist, or eligibility to practice as a Clinical Fellow under applicable requirements. Experience developing and implementing IEPs. Experience participating in IEP meetings. Experience working with neurodivergent students, particularly autistic students, preferred. Knowledge of AAC systems preferred. Knowledge of SCERTS or DIR/Floortime frameworks preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, organization, and documentation skills. Patient, flexible, and student-centered approach. Work Environment Direct interaction with students who may experience behavioral dysregulation. Ability to safely respond to challenging situations is required, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to walk approximately 2-3 miles during the school day. Ability to stand for at least 50% of the workday. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Ability to bend, squat, kneel, crouch, and move quickly when student safety requires. Behavioral intervention training and ongoing support will be provided.
