Job Description
Job Summary Join our team as a Cashier and Customer Service Associate, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create a welcoming shopping experience for every customer. In this role, you will handle transactions efficiently, provide expert product guidance, and ensure store operations run smoothly. Your positive attitude and strong communication skills will help foster customer loyalty and drive sales growth. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop retail skills while contributing to a vibrant team environment. Hours may start off as low as 20 but can/will quickly increase to 40. Duties Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product selections Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented Handle cash handling duties with precision, including cash register operations and balancing cash drawers at shift end Assist in inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory counts Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or taking orders Qualifications Prior cashiering experience in a retail or related environment is preferred but not required Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers in a friendly, professional manner Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs effectively but not required Basic math skills for handling transactions, giving change, and performing retail math calculations Experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures is highly desirable Supervising experience is beneficial for leadership opportunities within the team Ability to perform physical tasks such as stocking shelves and standing for extended periods No set requirements so feel free to apply regardless of experience!
