Job Description

Description Neurology practice in Walnut Creek seeks a Call Center team member with EPIC experience. This position is
FULL TIME
, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00pm. Compensation based on experience. Qualifications:
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Electronic Medical Records programs, (EPIC Preferred)
  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment
  • Multiple Phone Lines
  • Medical Terminology
  • Experience with Medicare, HMO and PPO insurance payers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Proven problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
Duties:
  • Answering multi phone lines and triaging accordingly
  • Schedule/confirming appointments
  • Verify patient eligibility and referrals
  • Patient registration/Sending new patient packets
  • E-Chart Prepping
  • Perform all administrative and direct patient care tasks in a clinical setting to patients in call center.
Education/Certification Requirements:
  • High School diploma required
  • Administrative Medical Assistant Course Certificate and/or Clinical Medical Assistant Course Certificate preferred (new graduates encouraged to apply if they are open to an administrative only position)
  • Associate's degree or two-year healthcare degree or experience preferred but not required
Experience:
  • 1-2 years of medical front experience preferred
  • One-year EMR preferred- EPIC Preferred
