Job Description
Description Neurology practice in Walnut Creek seeks a Call Center team member with EPIC experience. This position is
FULL TIME
, Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00pm. Compensation based on experience. - Customer Service Experience
- Electronic Medical Records programs, (EPIC Preferred)
- Experience in a fast-paced work environment
- Multiple Phone Lines
- Medical Terminology
- Experience with Medicare, HMO and PPO insurance payers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Proven problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
Duties:
- Answering multi phone lines and triaging accordingly
- Schedule/confirming appointments
- Verify patient eligibility and referrals
- Patient registration/Sending new patient packets
- E-Chart Prepping
- Perform all administrative and direct patient care tasks in a clinical setting to patients in call center.
Education/Certification Requirements:
- High School diploma required
- Administrative Medical Assistant Course Certificate and/or Clinical Medical Assistant Course Certificate preferred (new graduates encouraged to apply if they are open to an administrative only position)
- Associate's degree or two-year healthcare degree or experience preferred but not required
Experience:
- 1-2 years of medical front experience preferred
- One-year EMR preferred- EPIC Preferred
