Medical Call Center Representative

Bilingual Call Center Representative (Healthcare)Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Bilingual Call Center Representative with a strong in healthcare to support a high-volume primary care environment. This role is responsible for managing inbound and outbound patient calls, verifying insurance and eligibility, coordinating with clinical staff, and delivering exceptional patient service. Key Responsibilities + Handle high-volume inbound and outbound calls (60-80+ calls per day) in a fast-paced primary care setting + Perform insurance verification and eligibility checks with accuracy and efficiency + Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments based on patient and provider availability + Communicate effectively with providers and staff by taking and relaying detailed messages + Provide updates to patients on the status of authorizations and referrals + Deliver excellent customer service while managing calls averaging 2-10 minutes depending on complexity + Support front office operations by covering reception duties as needed Required Qualifications + 1-2+ years of call center experience in a medical clinic, hospital, or healthcare environment + Proven ability to manage high call volume while maintaining professionalism and accuracy + Experience with insurance verification, eligibility, and scheduling workflows + Strong customer service and communication skills + Bilingual in Spanish (required) Preferred Skills + Familiarity with healthcare systems, EMR/EHR platforms, or scheduling tools + Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment + Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Experience Level + Mid to Senior Level (Experienced / High-Volume Call Center) Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Covina, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
