Job Description

GlobalEdge is seeking an experienced Senior Customer Account Manager to manage key aerospace customer accounts, including OEMs, airlines, MRO organizations and distribution partners. This is a full-time, 12-month contract position with benefits, working 100% onsite in Bethel, Connecticut, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The Senior Customer Account Manager will serve as a primary customer point of contact and manage relationships, proposals, negotiations, forecasting and fulfillment activities across assigned accounts. The position coordinates extensively with Contracts, Pricing, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Finance, Sales, Manufacturing and Shipping to ensure customer requirements are met throughout the complete order and fulfillment lifecycle. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts. Build and maintain strong relationships with customer business contacts, executives and key stakeholders. Review contracts and RFQ/RFP requirements and coordinate internally to prepare responsive quotes and proposals. Support proposal gate reviews, contract negotiations, customer program reviews and audits. Lead onsite customer meetings, teleconferences, proposal kickoffs and account coordination meetings. Review customer forecasts and coordinate inventory, stock and rotable requirements. Manage customer requirements throughout the fulfillment process, from order processing through shipping and logistics. Monitor delivery schedules and communicate progress, order status, turnaround time and issues to customers and internal stakeholders. Negotiate and follow up with customers to obtain approvals for quotes and delivery schedules. Review customer claims and provide analysis to Finance and Accounting. Coordinate recovery plans for delinquent performance, perform root-cause analysis and support corrective-action plans. Monitor industry and market trends affecting assigned customers. Identify opportunities to expand business with existing customers and improve responsiveness to customer needs. Provide account metrics and status updates for major customers to site leadership. Skills Required Strong customer account and program-management capabilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external customers. Strong organization, time management and analytical problem-solving skills. Experience preparing, negotiating and managing proposals, contracts, terms and conditions and compliance matrices. Ability to coordinate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, finance and other business functions. Leadership, teamwork and team problem-solving capabilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Understanding of federal regulations and corporate/project finance. Skills Preferred Familiarity with major aerospace customers and affiliated organizations. Education and Experience Required Candidates must meet one of the following : Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution plus a minimum of 3 years of experience in account management, contract administration, customer service, project management, quality or supply chain within a manufacturing, operations or aerospace environment; OR High school diploma/GED plus a minimum of 10 years of experience in account management, contract administration, customer service, project management, quality or supply chain within a manufacturing, operations or aerospace environment. Eligibility Requirements Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship. This position involves information or hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Candidates must meet applicable U.S. person requirements under ITAR . No relocation assistance is available. Candidates must reside within the required local commuting area.
