POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Customer Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between customer service, supply chain management, and regulatory compliance. You will handle traditional customer support, including processing customer orders alongside critical operational tasks such as tracking Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs), entering part number and updating pricing in our ERP database, tracking orders, and coordinating with vendors to secure quotes and expedite shipments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain and update the Customer Expedite Report daily to ensure accurate order status. Provide proactive, transparent lead-time updates to customers, customer care associates and salesperson regarding delayed orders. Actively communicate with vendors to expedite critical components or materials and resolve delivery delays. Track Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) in compliance with company policy. Process simple incoming customer quotes/orders accurately and efficiently within company timelines. Accurate setup and maintenance of new part numbers and product data within the ERP system. Audit existing ERP data to ensure inventory, pricing, and part specifications remain correct. Contact suppliers to request and secure accurate price quotes Gather, log, and respond to customer requests regarding REACH and RoHS environmental compliance certifications. Assists Customer care Manager, Supervisor and Sourcing manager as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    Experience :
    2+ years of experience in customer service, order entry, purchasing support, or sales operations (manufacturing or industrial environment preferred).
      Technical Skills :
      Hands-on experience working within an ERP system (e.g., Trulinx SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
        Compliance Knowledge :
        Familiarity with REACH and RoHS documentation is highly desirable.
          Communication :
          Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
            Problem-Solving :
            Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritize tight deadlines, and independently resolve logistics roadblocks.
