We are a small, entrepreneurial team building a business at the intersection of financial services, insurance, technology, and client service . Because we are a small team, you'll have the opportunity to take on meaningful responsibility early in your career, work directly with senior leadership, and see the impact of your work on the business. The Opportunity We are looking for a high-energy, analytical and highly organized person to join our team as a Client Services & Operations Associate. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or someone with 1-2 years of professional experience who wants to learn quickly, take on responsibility, and build a career in financial services. You will work directly with policyholders, helping them navigate a complex financial decision while managing the process from initial inquiry through completion. You'll also work closely with our life insurance and reinsurance clients and gain exposure to the financial, operational, regulatory and technology aspects of our business. This is not a traditional entry-level administrative role. You'll be expected to think critically, solve problems, communicate directly with clients, analyze financial information, and take ownership of cases and projects. What You'll Do Client & Case Management Manage a portfolio of active cases from initial inquiry through completion; Communicate directly with policyholders by phone and email, building trust and helping them navigate a complex financial process; Understand each client's individual circumstances and identify solutions to questions or challenges that arise; Coordinate with internal team members, insurance companies, attorneys, and other third parties to keep cases moving forward; Develop the ability to independently manage increasingly complex cases. Financial & Analytical Work Analyze structured settlement annuities and life insurance policies and the financial factors that influence a policyholder's decision to change their policy Prepare quotes and financial analyses for policyholders; Review information and identify potential risks, issues, or missing documentation; Develop a strong understanding of the economics and mechanics of each transaction. Operations & Process Improvement Manage cases and opportunities through our CRM and other internal systems; Maintain accurate and organized case records and reporting; Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting for management and clients; Help develop and improve internal processes, procedures and technology; Identify opportunities to make our business more efficient and scalable. Business Development & Growth Analyze customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve the client experience; Help identify new opportunities to grow the business; Participate in projects involving new products, clients, technology and processes. What We're Looking For We care more about how you think and operate than whether you already know the insurance industry. You may be a great fit if you are: A recent college graduate or have 1-2 years of professional experience ; Intelligent, curious and eager to learn; Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail; Comfortable working with numbers and financial information; A strong communicator who enjoys interacting with people; A natural problem solver who doesn't give up when something gets complicated; Comfortable taking ownership of a task or problem without being given every step; Able to manage multiple priorities and stay organized in a fast-paced environment; Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable learning new technology and systems. Experience That Could Be Helpful — But Isn't Required You do not need prior insurance experience.
Relevant backgrounds could include:
Finance, economics, accounting, business, analytics or other quantitative fields; Customer success or client service; Financial services or fintech; Consulting or professional services; Operations or project management; Insurance or wealth management; Startups or entrepreneurial ventures. Experience with Excel, CRM systems, SQL, Power BI or other analytical/technology tools is a plus. What You'll Get This is an opportunity to join a small, growing company at an early stage of its development. You'll have: Meaningful responsibility from day one rather than being one of hundreds of junior employees; Direct exposure to senior leadership and major financial-services clients; The opportunity to work across client service, financial analysis, operations and technology ; A steep learning curve and the ability to develop skills that will be valuable throughout your career; The opportunity to help build processes and systems rather than simply follow them; A chance to grow with the company as the business expands. If you're ambitious, curious and want an opportunity where your work actually matters , we'd like to meet you. Location Westport, Connecticut This is a full-time, on-site position . Employment Requirements A background check and pre-employment screening are required and must be successfully completed prior to employment.
