Job Description

Now hiring a full-time trucking dispatcher who is responsible, organized, dependable, honest, and has a strong work ethic. Dispatcher is responsible for using a two-way radio system to make sure sod, equipment, and employees are getting to job sites in a timely manner and crews are not waiting for sod. Dispatcher will utilize a vehicle tracking software to keep up with the trucking. Dispatcher will also help answer phones and complete other office duties including paperwork. Must be proficient with using computers, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Adobe. Some dispatching experience preferred, but not required.
Additional duties are as follows:
  • Maintain contact with drivers and crew at all times via two-way radio
  • Respond to drivers, foreman, and project managers when they call over the radio
  • Locate and inform drivers of accidents and congestion on roads that may hold up getting sod to crew
  • Inform drivers of any schedule changes or route changes
  • Note number of pallets drivers report taking out of field and going to specific jobs
  • Maintain drivers and foreman attendance (daily)
  • Maintain Drivers Log of vehicles driven by each drivers (daily)
  • Track drivers hours on a daily basis by checking Drivers' Trucking Sheets
  • Check Sod Tickets to Daysheets for accuracy
  • Maintain Truck Inspection Log
  • Maintain Sod Transfer Record on a daily basis
  • Maintain Pallets Laid Log on a daily basis
  • Maintain Unbilled Daysheets Log & Board on a daily basis
  • Maintain Sod Summary Sheet on a daily basis
  • Scan Trucking Sheets and Daysheets to appropriate Network folder
  • Update schedule daily, marking appropriate changes Work week is Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Overtime (time and a half) paid after 40 hours worked per week. This is a full-time, year-round, in-person position. Bilingual (Spanish or Creole) is a plus! Benefits include health and dental insurance, one week of paid vacation (after 1 year of employment), and paid holidays. Office is located in Boynton Beach, off of State Road 7/ 441. Pay:
$15.50 - $17.00 per hour
