Hialeah, FL Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications Term negotiation Managing customer accounts Customer communication Customer relationship building Client relationship development High school diploma or GED Driver's License Driving Customer engagement Full Job Description The Outside Service Sales Representative plays a key role in growing our service business by building strong customer relationships and identifying new sales opportunities. This position works directly with fleet managers, owner-operators, transportation companies, leasing companies, and other commercial trailer customers to understand their needs and connect them with the right service solutions.
Essential Functions:
Develop and maintain relationships with commercial fleet customers, owner-operators, leasing companies, and transportation businesses. Prospect for new service accounts through cold calling, networking, referrals, and customer visits. Promote preventive maintenance programs, trailer inspections, repair services, mobile service, and replacement parts. Conduct regular customer visits to identify equipment needs and recommend service solutions. Prepare service proposals, maintenance agreements, and repair estimates. Coordinate customer service needs with Service Advisors, Service Managers, and Parts personnel. Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely follow-up and customer satisfaction. Identify opportunities to increase revenue through fleet maintenance programs, service contracts, and equipment inspections. Meet or exceed established sales goals and performance metrics. Physical Demands Frequent driving throughout assigned territory to visit customer locations. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and climb while inspecting trailers and customer facilities. Occasionally lift and carry materials weighing up to 30 pounds. Must be able to enter service shops, fleet yards, warehouses, and industrial environments while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Frequent use of computers, tablets, and mobile communication devices. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of three (3) years of outside sales experience required. Experience in commercial trailer, trucking, transportation, fleet maintenance, heavy equipment, or related industries strongly preferred. Experience developing new business and managing commercial accounts preferred. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required. Required Skills/Abilities Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to identify customer needs and develop customized service solutions. Working knowledge of commercial trailers, fleet maintenance, DOT inspections, trailer repair, and preventive maintenance programs preferred. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple customer accounts. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve sales objectives. Ability to build long-term customer partnerships based on trust, responsiveness, and service excellence. Commitment to safety, integrity, and continuous improvement.
