Full Job Description Company Overview:

We are currently seeking talented individuals to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued growth and success. As a Service Writer, your primary responsibilities are to provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers at the dealership, listening to their concerns, and addressing inquiries as necessary. Additionally, you will write vehicle condition reports, deliver information to and engage with a professional mechanic or technician.

Key responsibilities include:

Welcoming customers, entering personal information into the dealership database and inquiring about the reason for their visit Taking notes on the customer's vehicle issues and initiating work orders with specific details Provide cost estimates and forms for customer signature Act as liaison between customer and technician Assist other service advisors in analyzing the nature of vehicle issues Have a full understanding and explain to customers the nature of work completed by the technician, answer questions regarding vehicle condition, wait time, cost and translate automotive jargon into layman's terms for explanatory purposes Ability to generate billing statements and explain billing details to customers Ability to process customer payments Maintain logs of vehicle work completed Answer service area phones Schedule appointments Drive vehicles from garage area to customer parking when service is complete

Qualifications:

Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills, in person and on the phone Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor Possess knowledge of the powersports industry and various repair options Exhibit patience, strong organizational skills, time management and attention to detail Ability to read and interpret automotive billing statements and work orders Skill to communicate clearly and effectively Understand and interpret vehicle terminology Basic computer skills, previous experience with Lightspeed DMS a plus
