The Team We're currently growing one of our Federal Tax specialty areas, our Private Client Services (PCS) practice. PCS works with private companies, their owners, and other domestic and international high net worth individuals, serving as their advisor, advocate, teammate and partner. We are dedicated to helping our clients achieve their long-term goals by delivering highly personalized solutions that suit their unique needs. Due to our tremendous growth, we're seeking a Senior Director to join our team. How you will contribute As a Senior Director within Private Client Services, Tax you will: Establish long term consultative relationships with private companies, their owners, and high net worth individuals by providing your expertise on a variety of technical subjects including individual income tax, wealth transfer and succession planning, and international tax Lead the tax compliance process for partnerships, S-corporations, trusts, and individual tax clients working proficiently with specific tax forms as follows: 1040, 1041, 709, and FinCEN 114 Review research and analysis on a wide range of complex tax issues Build relationships with clients by understanding their business, their unique circumstances, offering proactive support, and timely execution Manage risk, staffing and financial performance for multiple engagements at once including billing, collections, profitability and project budgets Provide supportive leadership by providing development and career guidance through mentoring and performance feedback to your team. You will drive your team to stay up to date in tax law changes and apply the most current and innovative tax practices in order to create and sustain a respected reputation in the market Build relationships across Tax and the rest of A&M. Develop a deep understanding of the areas of expertise across the firm in order to present clients with opportunities for additional support Champion diversity, equity and inclusion across all aspects of the practice Build, manage, direct and monitor multiple client engagements teams while maintaining active communication with clients in an effort to manage expectations and help ensure client satisfaction Build consultative relationships with clients by understanding their business, their unique circumstances, offering proactive support, and timely execution of projects Actively pursue business development opportunities and prioritize where and how to source new relationships Regularly meet with contacts to discuss broad business issues and provide insight regarding how Tax and A&M can help address their critical business issues
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting 8 + years' of tax experience primarily focused on working with high net worth individuals in providing tax planning services, reviewing client workpapers, and preparing income tax returns 4+ years' experience managing teams and engagements CPA or Licensed Attorney Passion for mentoring, coaching and developing teams Proven experience working as trusted advisor to clients with a demonstrated ability to help clients understand and interpret analysis, deliverables and recommendations Prior proven experience leading others while managing risk, staffing and financial performance for multiple engagements at once including billing, collections and project budgets Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to establish credibility and influence clients Advanced user of all Microsoft Office products (with an emphasis on Excel) Prior experience in researching technical tax issues in
RIA, CCH
IntelliConnect, BNA, and/or Lexis-Nexis and in preparing tax memoranda Proficiency with BNA Income Tax Planner Self-motivated with a high degree of intellectual curiosity. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave. The salary range is $175,000 - $225,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance.
