Job Description

Position Summary The Front of House & Customer Experience Lead is responsible for creating a welcoming, efficient, and consistently excellent experience for every HoneyBaked customer. This position oversees the daily operation of the front counter, dining area, and customer pickup experience while providing hands-on leadership and support to the store team. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, dependable, and comfortable coaching others. They notice the details that affect the customer experience and take initiative to keep the Front of House clean, prepared, properly staffed, and running smoothly. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Experience Welcome customers and create a friendly, helpful environment. Ensure customers receive prompt, accurate, and professional service. Assist with menu questions, product recommendations, special requests, and order concerns. Resolve customer concerns respectfully and involve store management when appropriate. Help ensure every customer leaves feeling appreciated and confident in their order. Build relationships with regular customers and encourage repeat business. Front of House Operations Oversee the front counter, dining area, customer pickup area, and retail displays during assigned shifts. Ensure registers, menus, supplies, packaging, and service areas are prepared before each shift. Monitor customer traffic and position team members where they are most needed. Keep the Front of House clean, stocked, organized, and presentation-ready. Confirm that retail products, merchandise, and displays are properly stocked and attractively presented. Support accurate register transactions, discounts, coupons, gift cards, and order entry. Monitor online, catering, and customer pickup orders to help ensure they are complete, accurate, and ready on time. Communicate product availability, customer needs, and operational concerns to the appropriate team members. Team Leadership and Training Provide clear direction and hands-on support to Front of House team members. Train employees on customer service expectations, register procedures, menu knowledge, cleanliness, and order accuracy. Coach team members in the moment and recognize excellent performance. Help maintain a positive, respectful, and team-focused work environment. Assign and follow up on opening, shift, and closing responsibilities. Communicate staffing or performance concerns to the General Manager. Lead by example through professionalism, dependability, urgency, and a willingness to help wherever needed. Quality and Store Standards Ensure all orders are checked for accuracy and presented according to HoneyBaked standards. Maintain strong knowledge of menu items, catering options, gifting products, promotions, and allergen information. Follow food-safety, sanitation, cash-handling, and company procedures. Help monitor customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve service. Support holiday preparation and execution, including customer flow, order pickup, product availability, and seasonal staffing needs. Assist other areas of the store when needed to provide a smooth overall customer experience. Qualifications Previous customer service, retail, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred. Previous shift-lead or supervisory experience is helpful. Friendly, professional, and comfortable interacting with customers. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Able to coach team members and provide clear, respectful feedback. Dependable and able to remain calm and organized during busy periods. Comfortable using a point-of-sale system, email, and basic computer programs. Able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. Willing to work as part of the team and assist wherever needed. Schedule and Physical Requirements Availability may include mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays based on business needs. Open availability during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday seasons is required. Must be able to stand and move throughout the majority of the shift. Must be able to lift and carry products, supplies, and customer orders as required. Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced store environment. Reports To General Manager Pay:
