Responsibilities Operate POS systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and swiftly. Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, cash drawer balancing, and ensuring transaction accuracy. Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product demos or store navigation. Upsell products and promote store specials to enhance sales and meet customer needs. Maintain knowledge of store products through ongoing merchandising efforts and product demos to inform customers effectively. Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure a clean, inviting shopping environment. Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries. Supervise or assist in supervising team members during peak hours or busy periods, fostering teamwork and efficiency. Support grocery or retail store operations by managing inventory levels, stocking shelves, and assisting with merchandising displays. Ensure compliance with all cash handling procedures and maintain accurate records of transactions. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key! Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations enhances efficiency in transaction processing. Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in a fast-paced environment. Experience in grocery stores or retail environments involving product demos and merchandising is advantageous. Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with diverse customers effectively. Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve a broader customer base better.
