Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. Your responsibilities will include managing appointments, handling client inquiries, and assisting with basic animal care tasks. A passion for animals and a commitment to providing high-quality service are essential for success in this position. Responsibilities Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism upon arrival at the clinic. Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring an efficient flow of patients throughout the day. Answer phone calls and respond to client inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care. Maintain accurate patient records and manage billing processes. Assist veterinary staff with animal handling during examinations and treatments as needed. Provide information to clients about pet care, vaccinations, and preventative health measures. Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for clients and their pets. Support the veterinary team with laboratory tasks, including sample collection when necessary. Qualifications Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred. Strong communication skills with a friendly demeanor to interact effectively with clients and team members. Familiarity with animal handling techniques, including dog handling and animal restraint. Knowledge of veterinary critical care practices is a plus. Ability to perform basic laboratory tasks such as sample processing or assisting with aseptic techniques.
