Attention to detail with the ability to handle a high volume of transactions is important. Some of the essential functions and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to , the following: Job Overview The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is the welcoming face and voice of our local insurance agency. This role is perfect for a friendly, detail-oriented individual who enjoys interacting with people and keeping our office operations running smoothly. You will handle client greetings, make routine outbound follow-up calls, process daily transactions into our agency management software, and maintain an organized workspace to ensure our clients receive prompt, dependable service. Key Responsibilities Client Relations & Communication Greet all walk-in clients with a warm, professional attitude and direct them to the appropriate agent. Answer incoming phone calls, answer basic policy questions, and take detailed messages. Make outbound phone calls to remind clients of upcoming or past-due payments. Assist licensed agents with obtaining signatures and necessary underwriting paperwork from clients. This may involve phone calls, emails and/or letters to clients. Transaction Processing & Data Entry Process daily insurance transactions, including policy renewals, customer changes, and cancellations. Input client data accurately into the agency management system and update digital files. Accept client premium payments, issue receipts, and record the transactions in the system. Help clients obtain basic documentation, such as printing auto insurance ID cards or proof of coverage certificates. Office Organization & Administration Keep the reception area, desks, and client seating areas neat, clean, and organized. Scan, sort, and distribute physical mail and digital faxes to the proper agency staff. Maintain physical and digital filing systems so client records are secure and easy to find. Monitor office supply inventory levels and order replacements as needed.

Qualifications & Skills Experience:

1-2 years of administrative, retail, banking, or customer service experience preferred. Insurance experience is a plus but not required (we will train the right person).

Communication:

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a focus on friendly, small-town hospitality.

Technical Skills:

Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook). Attention to

High accuracy in data entry and strong organizational skills to handle sensitive financial and client information. Licensing (Optional): A property and casualty (P&C) insurance license is not required to start, but a willingness to obtain one in the future is a plus.

Education:
